Hi, I installed the chat client on my website and want the bridge to work with usernames.

I keep getting this message and have confirmed the information.

hi, yes I saw the topic which is why I decided to use the client.

I downloaded it, instlaled it in the link which is in my reply.

I go to admin go to switch to xoops, type in the info needed to install "which is correct" and get...

Something is wrong, Connect Failure! check your cms database information and try again

please help, Thanks

do you fill the database information correctly?
after you select to switch to XOOPS and click on "Next" you should fill out these informations:

your XOOPS database host: localhost


your XOOPS database username: [username from your XOOPS mainfile.php]


your XOOPS database password: [password from your XOOPS mainfile.php]


your XOOPS database name: [db name from your XOOPS mainfile.php]


your XOOPS db Tables Prefix: [db Prefix name from your XOOPS mainfile.php]_


note:in the table perfix you must add a "_" after XOOPS db perfix eg: xoops_

yes, I did that dont know what could be going wrong. Do I need to write it like this xoops_ or can I keep it like it is as xoops?

yes write _ after your perfix like the example in my previous post: xoops_

do you still have the connection failure?

Thank You! problem is now solved! one question though...

if i am logged in at my XOOPS site and click chat it will allow me in as my username or will I still need to log in but I can use my tcc username and password? Also are there any programs available so I can build this into the XOOPS site? iframe or something?

yes users should login again in alitalk.

I've got the bridge working but the screens are all reversed - I'm guessing this is some kind of BIDI thing but I can't see where to change the relevant setting. Anyone have any ideas?

The Events list also doesn't seem to be working.

I have the latest version (as far as I know) - 1.8
