My Admin menu my site has the following in front of the menu items:

_MA_NAV_ACTIONSUser Menu
View Acct_MA_NAV_VIEWACCOUNT Edit Acct_MA_NAV_EDITACCOUNT Notifications_MA_NAV_NOTIFICATIONS Logout_MA_NAV_LOGOUT Admin_MA_NAV_ADMINISTRATION

Any idea how I can change this to look normal - in addition the menu does not drop down as well. I do have java enabled so it should be working.

Stumped - any ideas?

check out the integrity of the files from the default theme in your XOOPS 2.2.x instalation. If its showing they way you described it there surely some corrupted file or lacking one, if only the "_MA_NAV_ACTIONS" and so one are present than you are missing the appropriate language directory.
