Ok... I have searched the near limitless reaches of this "Support Forum" and I have not found what I am looking for.

I have installed the base XOOPS portal, I have added the piCal module, I have added an osCommerce module, I have added the Catad module, and I added the newBB2 module. I am still using the default theme because I cant find a theme that I want.

What I am looking for is a format for communicating development requirements to one or more developers. My first thought was to take my basic site as is... then say what I want changed on a module by module basis. This would include things like menu styles, landing pages, options. I suspect from what I have seen so far, the changes will be extensive in all modules. I suppose that I might have picked the wrong modules to start with... but still I will need to make changes, so I need a good template. Does anyone have something like that?

Go here to see multiple themes on a XOOPS site.

If you really are talking about totally customized GUI look & feel by page, you could be in for a lot of work.

It sounds like you are looking for 2 different things
1. A theme
2. A theme designer, if you are unable to locate a theme to your liking.

For themes and theme designers, visit http://www.xoopsdesign.com and http://www.xoopsfactory.com, http://www.bassmanthemes.com, http://www.graphic-worx.com/, http://xoops.parakazanin.com/ and there are many others - use XOOPS search and Google ('xoops themes') to find others.

Many themes using XOOPS 2.0.14 and higher have separate looks for each module.

Thanks for the replys.

I have already spent some times the Xoopsdesign website as well as XoopsFactory site. I am indeed looking for a couple things... a theme is one of them. I think that the pricing for the development of the custom themes is quite reasonable. But I am definitely looking for a good deal more than just a custom there.

I have some very specific features that I need to implement, and I think that some of them go quite a bit beyond the feature sets in piCal or Catads for example. I think that I am going to need a lot more money to get my site where it needs to be before I am ready to go PUBLIC with it.

I am working on a site that will offer a normal range of "standard" portal type features, but I am looking to expand those basic capabilities and customize the user interface with a variety of user types and group permissions. I intend to augment that with Advanced "Search" capabilities. I have included a fairly substantial description of the advanced features in my business plan.

But now I have come full circle and back to my original point of my post. In the XOOPS / Open Source world, are there any standard Business/Development Requirements Documents that are commonly used by the XOOPS community?
