can't install Imenu module

hello,

I downloaded this module.
Then unzip it locally.
Upload the imenu map to the modules map.

And when i go to the modules tab on the administration section no imenu ?

What can be wrong here ??

This work, but how can i make a menu with this module ?

And second question :

How can i make messages with the news module ??
