Adding non mod link to main menu

I have a stand alone forum that I would like to link to from my XOOPS main menu. I've searched the forum for an answer, and Ive searched my admin panel, but can't find a way to add a link to my main menu on the front page.
Can this be done? I really don't want this link hidden away in the links section.

you can add some hard-code into the main menu block.

find b_system_main_show in modules/system/blocks/system_block.php
