Hello everybody,

I created a local-webserver with “wamp5”.
On this server I created a website in xhtml 1.0 that contains a layer/css solution. Now I want to create the catalog part in a CMS/PHP/MySQL solution and I want to realize that with xoops. So I installed XOOPS 2.0.16.

The catalog is a real estate based catalog that contains photos/information about the houses and it must be possible for the visitor to search/filter true the houses.

So it contains:
----------------------------
Photos

Type
Address
City
Built
Price
Rooms
Bedrooms
Sq.Ft
Garden
Etc.

Description

Link to PDF file.
----------------------------

And it must be possible to search true City/address/price/ect.

So were do I start.

If you take the FriendsFinder module and alter it just a tiny bit, youll have the basic's of what you need.

catads, weblinks and xdirectory modules COULD all provide the right solution. But you will need to change some language definitions and maybe templates to get it right.

What you will have difficulty with is the filtering process; for example, you wont be able to offer searches which filter 'City' and 'address', with 'price' by using selectors. I don't know any module that offers that level of search filtering, except as part of the search string of course.

I think weblink on happy-linux will give you the best options. It allows multiple catagories for every entry, which means users will be able to select internal categories to manually filter their views. Also gives automatic google map views taken from zip codes.

Its a very comprehensive module and worth a look. see here http://linux2.ohwada.net/

also take a look IBDeeming real estate module

edit: also I just found this http://www.torrecanela.com/portal/modules/realty/
