Hello,

is there anyway to integrate search functionality directly into a page?

im using the content v0.5 module and i would like to add a search button into the page itself which will only search within the content module.

Or maybe someone can reccommend a search module. ive tried both digger and phpdig but there not quite user friendly enough (xoops is our intranet and our users are very impatient and demanding :( )

The only way I can think of is to create your own search engine. With a little php+xoops code it shouldn't be too hard. You are basically searching for a particular string in the title or/and body. So use a XOOPS db query to search in those 2 fields that compare them to your search string, if they match, output the link (for example).

I think we'll have to try something else.

Yes, you can use this smarty plugin for xoops, to include the XOOPS search box in module

Happy_Linux has just released the happy search module. I can be found at the module dev site..

I know this is not the answer to your question, only making you aware of the options.
