A Moderate articles block for SmartSection. Anyone know a hack?

The 'News' module's 'Moderate News' block is absolutley great... because you don't have to give moderators access to the entire News module control panel (inc permissions) just to edit and/or approve a story.

Anyone have a hack that could do the same for SmartSection articles?

I feel very nervous about allowing moderators full access to the module controls.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.
