If I wanna restore my DB by using phpmyadmin, do I have to delete the old DB before I import the backup one?
I tried to import a sql file but phpmyadmin says xxxx already exist. So I'm just wondering if I should delete the old DB first?

If the backup has not the DROP TABLE sql sentence you are going to have to delete the tables, not the DB, manually.

Yes, that could work. Just make sure with future backups you add that line to the database backup. Just drop all tables and restore.
