Hello,

I found Xcgal is myalbum is very nice to use as a photo module. I would like to disable some functions of myalbum such as:

submitter/time or clock/hits/comments/rank/rate it/

They are useless to me, I just wanna leave picure/description/. I've tried to modify at template area of module admin. But all failed.

Please kindly tell me how, thanks very much in advance!

templates/myalbum_photo.html

Scroll down until you see:

<{* 1ST LINE OF INFORMATION *}>

Remove fields you do not want. Remember to update module when finished.

I deleted <{* 1ST LINE OF INFORMATION *}> and 2 second and 3rd layers. then update the module, and delete all the tepm. files in /templates_c/ folder. But it doesn't work. The modified code is as the followings:

<{strip}>

<{include file="db:myalbum_header.html"}>

<{$lang_album_main}> : <{$album_sub_title}> <{$photo.title}>

<{if $lang_add_photo}><{$lang_add_photo}><{$lang_add_photo}><{/if}>

<{$photo_nav}>

<{$photo.title}> />

<{* DESCRIPTION *}>

<{if $photo.description}>

<{$photo.description}>

<{/if}>

<{$photo_nav}>

<{$commentsnav}>
<{$lang_notice}>

<{if $comment_mode == "flat"}>
<{include file="db:system_comments_flat.html"}>
<{elseif $comment_mode == "thread"}>
<{include file="db:system_comments_thread.html"}>
<{elseif $comment_mode == "nest"}>
<{include file="db:system_comments_nest.html"}>
<{/if}>

<{include file='db:system_notification_select.html'}>

<{include file="db:myalbum_footer.html"}>

<{/strip}>

I think I need your further support, thank you very much!

You cannot edit the default template set directly from XOOPS admin. You need to press the 'clone' link to create an editable template set. Name the set ('myset' or similar) then make it the default set in prefs/general settings, e.g.

Default template set = 'myset'

You can then edit the cloned templates in admin.

Whenever you install a new module, immediately go to templates and click 'create' against the new module name in your cloned set.

Otherwise you need to edit the HTML files on the hard disk in the templates folder for that module.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

Thank's for tip.
