i've searched the FAQs. no help.

my install went flawlessly, installed all TABLES correctly, then gave me a blank page.

my xoopsinfo.php tells me this:

Failed opening required '../mainfile.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /homepages/7/d153329893/htdocs/xoops/xoopsinfo.php on line 2

i ran the debug query, UPDATE xoops_config SET conf_value=1 WHERE conf_name = 'debug_mode', apparantly successfully.

help?

Does your mainfile.php exist in the folder /homepages/7/d153329893/htdocs/xoops/ ?


If you look into it does it contain the correct path / url for your website?
(do not post it here / in case you do remove usernames and passwords)

:) - yes, of course it's there. and it contains the correct paths, but its contents wouldn't be the issue if it "failed to open".... i think?

You are probably right ... but i have stopped taking anything for granted until checked over the years

What is xoopsinfo.php?

If the errormessage and the url are correct the file is in your rootfolder but it looks for mainfile.php one level higher right?

Can you run the md5 check on your files. See the decription on the release notes page

did this once before and had ONE bad file
