I want a block that will do what the recent post block does from the newbb forum module. The recent post block shows x number of the newest post. I want a similar thing but only have it display from a designated forum. I want to have an announcement forum and everytime I post a thread in that forum I want it to show up in a block on my homepage in the format:

+-----------------------------+
| Title and Poster Name
+-----------------------------+
| The actual post (the body)
+-----------------------------+

Is there already a block or module that can do this? If not does anyone know how to do this?

The Recent Post block in CBB looks to do pretty much what you need.

I am using the recent post already. Here is an example of what I mean

They have recent threads and then below is news post that are done by them posting in an annoucement forums.

That is vBadvanced and vBulletin but I am sure the same thing can be done
