Single Sign on With PHP Forums?

Basically, I have XOOPS site and php forums. I don't want to use the forum module on xoops. So, simple question? Is there a way I can merge my XOOPS account with my PHP forums accounts? Or at the very least get single sign on?

EDIT: I have read the FAQ on this, but it makes no sense to me. It has two links, one to buy something I don't understand and another I don't have access to. Obviously, neither is very helpful.

Which PHP forum? All of Xoops's forums are written in PHP code.

Sorry - had to make sure which one.

Three options:

1) Visit http://www.bbpixel.com - and use the hacked version of Phpbb they support, which hacks XOOPS and turns phpbb into a module.

Personally I advise against this, as I've done this in the past. It's a good hack, and works well, but it is tricky to update if you need to.

2) Visit http://www.xoopsforge.com and use the convert script to convert your Phpbb posts to the native XOOPS forum: cbb (version 3.05 is latest at time of posting)

Personally I recommend this. Its almost as good as Phpbb and its a proper native module.

3) Use LPAD - and a hack which is available for phpbb from their site - to allow shared logins of XOOPS 2.0.14 and Phpbb

Looks like that is the only option since I want to use PHP, not the XOOPS bb. I'm not sure what you mean by LPAD and that hack? Any idea where to get these items? or maybe a thread or guide on how to do this process? I've searched all over and can't seem to find anything on what you've mentioned.

Sorry I always spell this wrong

I mean LDAP

You can find some Phpbb related modules for this here - just use the search LDAP
