Hi,

I'm currently developping a gallery module for XOOPS and i would know what you want for this king of module.
Feature beside are already added or will be added :

- Watermark
- Border (Add border to photo)
- Private album per user
- Quota on private album
- Add batch photo
- Rate photo
- Send eCard
- Comments and notifications
- Group permission

Moreover i would know what kind of permission do you prefere. Do you prefere global permission (same for all category) or fine permission (permissions by category) ?

1. The ability to resize images.
2. Thumbs
3. The ability to use it as a site image manager for insertion into content.
4. Option to use lightbox.
5. Ability to insert thumbs, resized or full size images into content.
Urging XOOPS to be the Best It Can Be.

Very nice idea

Concerning the permissions: I would like to have fine permissions (permissions on individual albums, at least permissions on categories).

Moreover it would be nice to have moderators who can decide which pictures (uploaded by users or guests) are made public. Please add a notification system when pix have been uploaded.

Also, categories / albums where a user has NO permissions on must be invisible to him completely.

Nice features would be:

- most downloaded, best rated pictures (as in Coppermine) in the current album, current category and in the whole gallery
- most recent comments (same scope)
- easy upload via browser and batchupload via FTP; URI-upload (take pictures from URLs)
- various blocks (random pics, most recent pics, most popular pics, best rated pics, statistics (top uploader, most popoular pics list, best rated pics list)
- handle GIF files
- handle movie files
- configurable thumbnail sizes

I think this is it for now...

These features wwon't be add in the first release of this module. We must find a way before to make this feature.

Okay, i will made a fine group permission feature.

ability to import from other popular gallery modules: XOOPS gallery , xcgal , ...

A Lightbox is a feature to sell the pictures I think - perhaps by a plugin code.

You may want to speak to McNaz (http://www.xasset.co.uk) as he has a project underway ... perhaps you could work together?

Lightbox JS is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page. It's a snap to setup and works on all modern browsers.

Where you want to use lightbox ? On album page, instead of goes to photo page when you click on thumb, display image on lightbox ?
