So I have this in my template code under news_item

Would I reference a user avatar with:

<img class="comUserImg" src="<{$xoops_upload_url}>/<{$story.poster.avatar}>" alt="" /><div class="comUserStat"> ?

I stole that code from the comment template code.

When I do that, it doesn't seem to work. Any hints?
