News 1.1 database table corupted

One of my clients emailed this morning and said that all the news stories have disappeared. When I went to check the database, the xoops_stories table gave me the following error:

#1016 - Can't open file: 'xoops_stories.MYI' (errno: 145)

Any idea what this is and why this happened? I'm going to try and rebuild the table.
