Hi

I'm using web hosting at AWARDSPACE.COM

In the beginning I had no problem installing xoops-2.0.14 in a subdomain I created arie1985.awardspace.com

then

I deleted everything, because I have a domain.com

I put all the files in the awardspace hosting but under the domain.com I have

(I don't want to say the domain name if it's ok in a case it will work and people will install XOOPS for me and make a mess)

when I'm going to mydomain.com I get "page cannot be found"

I'm not getting into the installation screen

Why's that?

How can I solve it? :(

Oh

When I go to

http://www.mydomain.com

I get "page cannot be found"

but when I go to

http://www.mydomain.com/

It's working!

The '/' makes all the difference, why?!?!

And how can I make it that the website will be loaded if people write .com or .com/ either?!

why this '/' makes all the difference?!

What do you have in mainfile.php? It should be http://www.yoursite.com WITHOUT the trailing slash.

Hi Dana

Yes, now it's working with or without that annoying slash

However I think the problem is caused by having 2 Names Servers

1) For Email Forwarding
2) For the Webspace hosting (which is another website)

I think the computer tries sometimes to login to the website which (according to "his thinking", thoery speaking) is on the email forwarding server

And sometimes it gets into the other server which is the good one (where the files are hosted)

Do you know what I mean?

What can I do about it? I mean, how can I keep having both email forwarding and web hostage as well?

PS I can't call Name.com they didn't work yesterday, neither today because of that 4th of July

Well, I'm American citizen and I don't give a **** on this holiday, just get to work ppl!! We need your assitance!!

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
