Module for photo uploading and managing

Hello!

I would like to develop a module that will have the following functionality:

1)Admin will have the ability to upload and manage photos to the database
2)Users just can see the photos. For example by date photo created, by size etc

Is there a module with tha above functionality whick I can rely on and devolop mine or should I start it from the begining?

There are several capable image gallery modules in the repository. No need to write one from scratch IMO.

We use xcGallery with success.

See this site for a demo.

Name sort, date sort built in to the module.

Not sure about the size sort.

Agreed, no need to write your own. I have a few sites that uses XCGallery. See it a http://www.4x4n.com
