Hi...I just saw this module:
http://xasset.co.uk/modules/cerberus/index.php?x=&mod_id=1

I'm not sure it is the XOOPS module but it seems great that it combine the help desk ticket and knowledgebase together....

this is what i wanted but never see any help desk module here capable of doing this.

Hey cheechon.

Sorry for not seeing this sooner.

I am using Cerberus (http://www.cerberusweb.com/) as a helpdesk system. This system is independent from Xoops.

There is, however, a Cerberus Support Center that I've wrapped into a XOOPS module. I've also coded a XOOPS plugin to Sync XOOPS and Cerberus user databases.

The work I did was on the Cerberus 2.x version and I notice that there is a version 3.x now.

HTH

Cheers.

McNaz.

Hi Nazar,
Thanks again for sharing with us.
I did check out their website and the full version, what do you think of this help desk system?
I'm being using xhelp now, all was fine to me. the only thing is there is no integration of knowledge base.
So i'm not sure wheater i should switch to the cerberus or stay with xhelp.

xhelp is good in the sense that it is totally XOOPS module and cerberus look like very "big"...

care to share your experience?

Hi Cheechon.

xHelp, IMHO, is an excellent module. Did I say it was an awesome module? What you get with it is tight XOOPS integration out of the box and I believe Ackbar and Eric are working at integrating a knowledge-base feature into it. That gives you things like blocks, search etc...

Cerberus is also a good package but it is not a XOOPS module and you would have to put in some work into integrating it into Xoops. As a package it is more comprehensive than xHelp in that, like you mentioned, includes knowledge base integration and other features such as spam filters, work-flows, support for SLAs etc...

Cerberus is a large system and might be too much. There are limitations with the free version and that is you are only able to have a single support email per domain.

My experience is mostly with the 2.x version and that has been good (as has my experience with xHelp).

HTH

Cheers.

McNaz.
