1. how do i change my logo? i would like to change my logo but i have no idea how.

2. how do i install a temlpate?

Ok helps read the intructions, we are trying to organise these a bit more, yet using the site search helps always....

Logo exchange //images/logo.gif if it is on your theme that you select, then you change in //themes/your theme/images/logo.gif

To get a new theme stick it in the theme folder.... set it in prefrences
