This is where you change the footer (i.e. copyright info/powered by info).

There is the possibility that you need to change your theme.html file.

Also, you should check any download agreement to see if you are allowed to remove the copyright for the theme. Some designers ask that you keep that information intact.

2 possibilities.

1. If the text is hardcoded in the theme, then it must be changed in the thme.html file, delete the contents of the templates_c folder except index.html.

2. If you see something likt <{$xoops_footer}> in the thme.html, then change it from the site admin. In Admin--->Preferences--->Meta tags & Footer. Change the footer section.
