Hi,

I followed the instructions according to this thread Installing language pack, uploaded the files in all the basic modules accordingly. But I'm not sure where to go from here? On what files do I modify to have users select the language and have that language option in persistent session? I know I can add the link Spanish - English in the Top Page but what happens after that?

Thanks in advance for help input.

If you want the user to be able to select a language, you'll also need to use a language module/hack as well as the language files.

Myself, I preffer Phppp's Xlanguage - which can be found at: www.xoopsforge.com - and this is very easy to set up

I thought Xlanguage is used for Chinese and other Asian characters. I actually managed to install the smartlanguage module and installed a few standard modules that came with translated folder into Spanish.

One other question I have for the smartlanguage syntax is it mentions we can use [en]...[/en][fr]...[/fr] to have the 2 phrases of different languages in the same line. But I view after editing it I see the tags are shown. I tried different format HTML, formatted with smilies, etc. but none gets rid of the tags. Any ideas how to make this work?

Excuse, I am using translating
I modulate it xlanguage has maximum amount of characters, I obtain to place +/- 250, more than what this does not function.
It has another solution? Beyond placing in parts with due tags ?
thanks
