Hello

How can one modify a module and add a new function to it?
Like, I have the "my album-p" module and I would like to add to it a download function , but not for the image shown, I want to create an option, sort of an atachment that I from the admin side I can input the URL of the file and it'll be added to the data base, like a download module does. Hmmm hope i made some sense
