Step by Step creating a theme manual

... is there one around. I have checked the FAQs and not seen anything that is very extensive.

A step by step manual for beginners would be absolutely perfect.. anyone know if there is one available.

I checked the "Anatomy of a default theme" but its not really a step by step designing guide.

Would like this as really love XOOPS and want to get into Theme building

There is not really a good step-by-step guide but why don't you just start by changing excisting themes? After a while you could chalenge yourself by trying to copy a theme (from let's say templatemonster), third step: make one from scratch..
