Hello all,

I am trying to install XOOPS on IIS and reading the setup instructions - it says I have to create an sql database before install.

What do i name the databse? I have placed everything in the wwwroot folder in IIS and when I type the link to my index page nothing happens, (no install screen)

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards
Geoff

By saying “Permissions” I mean the 777 for the “cache”, “uploads”, “templates_C” and mainfile.php (writable)

Ok..for loading the initial installation page, have you type the “www.yoursite.com/index.php”?

In order ISS recognize as initial page the index.php, you have to set in manually

My computer –> (right click) -> manage
Expand services and applications node
Select IIS (right click) web sites -> select properties

Then click on documents and Add… index.php
