Besides, xAsset can be abit heavy for the job as there is all the tax, currency, country stuff to set up, which if you think about it doesn't really relate to donations.

I really would dump it all to a local playground setup and then replace XOOPS release files against the ones currently present.

If that succeeds i would continue doing it over again directory by directory. Once you got the right one ...
naah not file by file but running a filecompare could prove usefull. ;)

Not sure if this will help but....I was having alot of trouble with IPN in another application. It turned out that the email address that I was using for IPN wasn't marked as primary in PayPal. As soon as I changed my application to use my primary email address it started working.
