Hi guys.

I recently obtained a static Ip so I could get up with making my own server...

I fought with apache 2.0.55, mysql-4.0.18 and php-4.4.2, but in the end I did it... I can connect to localhost, or tus.ath.cx, or just with my static IP.

My OS is windows Xp sp2.

Here's the problem...

I granted privileges for a user in a database i made through mysql.

I placed XOOPS files under c:\server\public_html [which is the documentroot for apache, i changed it].

Now when i type "tus.ath.cx" the installation doesn't automatically start. It just gives me the contents of the directories.

***BUT!!!***

But if I roam through the directories and go to the "install" directory and run the php file for the installation, then the installation runs smoothly.

I can even complete the installation! and login to the site..!

But if I click on "go to homepage" it's throws me on the apache's category listing.

Even after the installation is complete and i'm logged in, if I type in firefox "tus.ath.cx" it again throws me on the apache's category listing.


What can i do??

I downloaded phpmyadmin, and I'll see if this helps me out...

do you in your apache configuration have a line somewhat like this one:


?
If so, try adding index.php to the line:

... and join XoopsGreece.gr too!

edit2: I know this is not exactly OFF-topic but OFF-FORUM, but i want to ask you, how can i see the directory listing of my server? So i can see and download files from there...
