Login Redirect Problem

I just upgraded from 2.2.3a to 2.2.4 and since doing so my redirect url has a question mark at the end of it. When it redirects none of my blocks will show. Where is this question mark coming from so I can remove it?

Well, I figured it out, and it had nothing to do with the upgrade at all. For some reason when I tured on custom sessions it added that question mark at the end of my url.

So now my question changes...

Why does this happen? Is it supposed to? How can I "fix" it?
