Hi i scooped out the faq but found nothing about, how to change position of blocks, not left and right, that I know
but up and down, for example, how can I chabge that who's online is above user menu?

And the other question is, how can I create custom blocks for example, like Community block on the left of this site?

Thank you!

I assume you're using XOOPS 2.2.3

On the admin area choose the menu option System - Blocks.

Each block has a "weight". The lower the number, the higher up on the screen the block will appear!

Hope this helps.

as for your second question, there are several different methods and/or modules. You can edit the XOOPS main menu - however I've found the easiest is the module 'multimenu' that'll allow up to 8 different menus and you can specify the link names and the links - even add images etc...

Check it out in the module section.

I have to admit I didn't notice your second question, sorry

I use multimenu too and can recommend it.

If you just want to have plain text (e.g. a welcome message) go to the Blocks admin page again. Click on the drop-down menu and select "System - Custom block"

If you want to have lots of custom pages you could use an 'articles' module. I use xfsection which works perfectly, but most questions etc seem to be about other modules (articles/magazine etc...)

also I've been playing with the 'content' module which is excellent - accepts html/php etc - however you can also set the pages you create to be block options.

Ie so you can set your news 'latest news' block to show only on your 'news page' that you created in Content.

Best thing is to just play around with a few modules - the great thing about XOOPS is it's dead simple to install/uninstall modules so you can give anything a shot!

Yes - Multimenu is great! I recommend it and make use of it on my website. It comes in handy and very easy to manipulate!

It is also great for use when you want only certain user groups to see various menu selections!
