How to change topic name?

I'm using XOOPS version 2.2.3 and CBB 2.3 I want to know how to change topic name?? I tried to change the name of first post, but it didn't work.
Help!

By editing topics in AdminCP.

I tried high and low to find how to edit a topic. In my admin CP i can't find edit topic. I'm a neubie so please help me how to this!

What do you mean by topic?

You mean like changing the topic in this thread from
How to change topic name? into something different?

Then actually editing it in the first post of a thread is correct. That will actually change what is displayed in blocks (e.g. if you change it in your first post here it will also change in the block on the xoops.org frontpage)
However this does of course not change the topic in the replies that have been posted already.

Thanks for quick replay. Yes you are corect, I mean that! This is the situation with my site. I split one topic and made another. Then I edited that post, and give a topic a new name. But that name is only in that post (above). In topic block (and in all other posts odl name presists RE:RE:**)
If You want to check it i will give a link (this is not a spam or else, since site is in serbian language. If this is against rules please sorry! So again I don't know what to do? Help!

I must be blind today but i just installed cbb 2.32 and i can not find an option to split a thread. (i can see merge though)

This is how you do that.
Go to the therd. In the bottom You will see admin. Klick once. After that, do that again. Then you will get split option!

Would have never found that option lol.


Ok, confirmed. If you update edit the first posting in a regular topic it will produce 24 querries.

But if you edit the first posting in a split of topic it will only produce 15 querries and the table bb_topic is really not syncronized with the edited subject.

What I'm suppose to do, to make this name changed? I don't know what querries are.

I found the solution so I will expalin for future usage! First You must edit a post you want to split (name), and than you split a topic! If you first split and than edit you wont change a name for new topic!
