I have searched through existing posts for this error and they reference Unix based installs (e.g. Chmod). I am intalling on a Windows system using MySql and IIS.

This is an new installtion of XOOPS 2.2.3a. The error is:

PHP Warning: copy(../mainfile.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\html\install\class\mainfilemanager.php on line 52

I have verified that the files are not marked 'Read-Only'.

Suggestions?

Regards,
Kurt

Make sure the IUSR account has permissions for the file.

OK, I added "Administrators" to the groups that IUSR_COMPUTER_NAME has access to. That failed as well. How do you provide access for one folder for one user as you suggested?

Through ntfs permissions.

Edit: don't forget you have two sets of permissions that effect this, NTFS permissions and share permissions.

Thanks jdseymour.

I went through all of these articles you sent regarding setups. The data seems slighlty out of date, but I checked and did everything (except kept register_globals=Off).

I still get the same error. I have verified vis Control Panle->Computer Management that the user IUSR_<ComputerName> is an Administrator.

What (and how) do you sent the permissions (ntfs) you speak of?

Any more suggestions?

I set the IUSR_ user on the wwwroot directory to 'full.' What other permissions do I have to set (you mentioned two sets of permissions)?

As the IUSR is local to the computer in question, NTFS permissions should be adequate. The other permissions I spoke of are shared permissions. With Windows the most restrictive permission wins out.
