Finally I have managed to upgrade my XOOPS from 2.0.7.3 to 2.2.3. Happy happy joy joy.

Now I tried to upgrade my Newbb Pro forum to CBB. I deleted the old newbb-folder, uploaded the newbb-filder of CBB, then updated the newbb-module. But All I can see are a few of the orginal forums and no posts at all (even though it says "Total posts: 2887").

This is what I get when updating the module. Note the text at the beginning an the end.

Just something to try first. Apparently from the counts the posts are in the database. Try setting permissions on all categories and forums. These reset to blank on upgrade.

Yes, I tried to set the permission for Acess and View, but it does not work.

From which newbb version exactly are you coming? (you said newbb pro - whats that?)

Thought that might be the part from newbb2 format to cbb. Guess i looked into the wrong readme. *ouch*

Jdseymour: Yes that is correct. I have, unfortunately, been using a Newbb "clone" called Newbb Pro 1.03 and have had problems updating this version to "real" newbb-versions. I still hope I can update newbb Pro to CBB. If not I am stuck to this pretty primitive forum, without the functionality I need. And I really need to migrate my users 2800+ posts - I can not just start a new forum from scratch.

Double check the database, make sure the structure has changed and the forums and posts are in fact there.

Newbb Pro had 2 columns added to a table. Sorry don't remember which.

In order to upgrade from newbb pro to CBB, you must first take out those 2 columns, upgrade to newbb2, then to CBB.

Newbb Pro is a hacked version of newbb1. But it did not change any other table names or columns.
