If they do not have access to the category they will not see it. Look at the forums on this site, do you see the "Internal Discussions" Category. It is there with 4 forums inside.

Hmm...well the way I have it setup they should't have access...my test accounts (different user levels like regular users) can see it. When they click on it however they're taken to a page that gives an access error. This is a newbb forum right and not one of the others?

Okay I've played around with the acess settings. If an unregistered user views the forum he can still view the sections that I don't want viewed...

I,ve just tested on XOOPS 2.2.3 and CBB 2.3.

If the user does not have permission to the Category, he does not see it.

If the user does not have Access right to a forum, he does not see it.

Note that Admins see everything wether they are set without access or not.

I think the reason I couldn't do this was because of my forum module. I updated to NewBB 2, but am having problems.
