I think this is a theme problem...but I'm not sure. If you go to my website (http://www.highvoltpc.com) you'll notice that in the forums the topic and post numbers don't align (the post numbers look higher). The theme I'm using is fydarkblack. I'm using the newest version of xoops.

I think your problem is found in style.css of your theme:

.odd { background-color: #212121; padding: 5px; vertical-align:top; }

First I would try removing the vertical align:top from the .odd setting, see if that fixes it or causes any other problems first.
