Physical paths.... why the big deal?

What's the big deal about exposing a site's physical path? No-one can hack you with this information (or can they), or does it make it easier for them to do so?

It makes it easier for someone to hack you.

Analogy: If someone knows the street address of your house, it's easier for him to locate your house, break into it and rob you.
