Hi,

Just recently I got a blank page when trying to access admin.php.

We haven´t performed changes to the site in months, so not sure what this could be. Maybe the server upgraded PHP and XOOPS is not compatible?

Anyway, was thinking of upgrading the whole system and maybe that will fix it. But I cannot find out which version I am running since I can´t access admin.

Neither can I turn on the PHP error messages since I cannot access admin.

Anyone got any suggestions?

regards,

erik

You may want to take a look at the XOOPSInfo Script.

Hope this helps.

thanks for that. worked fine.

It says it is XOOPS 1.0 RC 3.0.4

Not sure where to go from here or how to upgrade, maybe there are no upgrades available?

That's a very old version, you are in urgent need of an upgrade.

However, I'm not sure which upgrade path you need to follow. Maybe someone else can tell you.

Blimey - a release candidate of V1!!

Sorry to say this, But I would do a fresh install of 2.0.13.2 or 2.2.3 and try and salvage any module content with phpmyadmin - There is bound to be problem if you try to upgrade - I usually have problems when I upgrade one version (eg from 2.0.13 to 20.0.13.2)

Just go ahead and test it:

Just test it out.

- Create a backup of your db and files.
- download Xsas or Xampp to have a local test environment
(preferably one version of Xampp that is close to the php/sql versions you are going to use on your server at the moment
- Update the install locally to XOOPS 2.0 and then in steps up to 2.0.13.2 (if it works in between make backups again once in a while)

Nothing to loose by trying locally (except for some time)
