Is there a way to turn off tyhe smarty templates so that if a block is emnpty it will still show the block?

I have things coming up saying that they are empty in the debug when I know that they are not. Weather, Navigate thru topics, and Recent news are all just shrunk and nothing is showing up.

Is there a mod or setting that I am missing that will allow the toggling of smarty templates

So There is no way to turn this feature off?
Or am I asking the wrong question. I do not want to different blocks to close up if there is no information in them. if there a way to do this?

This isn't a Smarty issue.

You'd have to hack the code that handles displaying of blocks. Currently it doesn't display the block at all if the block has no content. I don't remember offhand which file you'd change.

Custom blocks work differently; they get displayed even if they're empty.

But I don't understand why displaying the empty blocks would help you.
