Problem on sending e-mail in xoops

Dear all,

I'm setting up a XOOPS forum, all the functions work well except the e-mail. Although the e-mail address was valid, I've found the following error message when I was trying to send an email :

SMTP Error: The following recipients failed [xxx@hotmail.com]

The environment info. for my site are as follows :
OS:Fedora 3
XOOPS version : XOOPS2.0.10.2
PHP:php-4.3.9-3
Mysql: mysql-3.25.58-13
E-mail setting : SMTP

Would you mind telling me what is the problem ?

Hotmail, I do not think uses a standard SMTP server. You would be better suited using your servers e-mail server (best method) or a standard pop account that uses a standard SMTP server.

also try to put localhost in smtp server box

After I've connected to another smtp server, it works. Thanks a lot !
