I don't know what happened, but all of the sudden I get the following error when I try to add a picture to any of my albums:

[error]
No picture was uploaded!

If you have really selected a picture to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...
[/error]

Any idea what might cause this? I haven't changed anything on the server.

From gediminasbyt:
Just a quick answer, if it helps, then we fine if not lets take this discussion off Comments and take it to forums. When you uploaded files you might have uploaded as a different user as your server runs. Make sure you have files in xcgal as the same user as Apache run. Issue command like 'ls -al' in modules and inside xcgal.

Let's keep this section shorter and use it for comments not for help.

I should have posted that this is on a hosted server from IXWebhosting, not my local server.

I have created a new site and it gives me the same error as above. After talking w/ the hosting company for 30 minutes, they insist that they hadn't made any changes on their servers.

Any idea what to try next?

All seems to be working now. I had opened a trouble ticket w/ IXWebhosting. They didn't update it yet, but I can now upload.

So, it is safe to say that this wasn't xcgal.
