Valid Token Expired............

Since my other post didn't go anywhere. However I did get some suggestions and followed other threads, I am at a loss now.

Anywho........think I can delete all the directories and files and upload fresh files? Or isn't that the problem?

Or can I just upgrade to 2.2.3 and hope the problem is gone?

I am currently running 2.0.13.2

PHP: 4.4.2-dev
MySQL: 4.0.26

Problem seemed to start after upgrading from 2.0.10 to 2.0.13.2

Also, I am running 2 other sites with the same PHP and MySQL without a problem, although they are on either 2.2.2 or 2.2.3

I really need to figure this one out, anyone?

Can I just install 2.2.3 over it?

How about I install 2.0.13.1 in another directory? And point to the same DB, or will that cause a problem too?

BUMP AGAIN.........Think I can install 2.2.3 and fix the problem?

Thinking of finding another CMS system if this keeps up.

Have you tried using the default values again for custom sessions? (I read elsewhere that you've changed it while trying to fix this)

Use custom session: no

Session name: xoops_session

Session expiration: 15

Re: Valid Token Expired............

Ok, I set Session Name to: xoops_session

Session Expire to: 15

Don't see anything for "Use Custom Session" or something like that.

GZip Compress is: 0 (assume 0 = No)

User Cookie is: xoops_user

After I updated Session Expire and Session Name I went into the modules page and ran the System Update. Then went back into preference to change one thing to see if it works, still get "Valid Token Expired".

Enough to drive one nuts!

Upfront: i donĀ“t have a clue about the token system since i never took the time to look into it but:

- does this happen only with your user?
- different browsers? (if it involves cookies)
- why not setup a local site with a backup on your pc to just see what happens if you follow some of your own suggestions like overwriting files (guess not helping) or updating to 2.2.3?
Sorry, this signature is experiencing technical difficulties. We will return you to the sheduled signature as soon as possible ...

Re: Valid Token Expired............

Well I don't have any other admin users to login as. Suppose I could try adding another admin user through my PHPAdmin.

I've tried it in both IE and FireFox on 2 different PC's. Same NetProvider but one at home and ones at work.

Can you point me to a reference or something about setting up an instance on my Windows PC?

Thanks....

Have a look at http://www.uniformserver.com/

They have made a pre configured install of mysql, php and apache. I use it on my windows machine.
