Zen Cart problem

I have just loaded Zen Cart to try out. It installed OK the admin section works and the XOOPS backend works. But on the front end when you click on shop from the main menu a number of warnings come up which includes the following:

XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/include/common.php

plus a few more but all the warnings are about the Xoops_Root_path

can I edit this manually - if so which file do I need to edit?
