Xoops 2.2.3 - using the xmt theme...

I made a custom block with this html tag:

< iframe src="http://www.weatheroffice.pyr.ec.gc.ca/pda/citygen_e.html?Client=PDACDN_e&city=YOW" height="80%" width="80%" >< /iframe >

(I added spaces for readability).

It doesn't work, is there a reason why? It works when I do a test page in plain html. (Yes the custom block is visible, just that there is no code in it when I view source on the page).

Thanks,
Deb

I certainly hope we can get an answer to this. I can't get it to work, either. Either we are doing something wrong, or this feature just does not work (under, in my case, XOOPS 2.2.3). Whatever the reason, we need to know. Surely there is someone who knows how to do it or why it doesn't work.

Iframes work in the MyPage module and, if I recall properly, in TinyD should one want to load an external page. These are, however, modules and not blocks and will not help if you want to, say, put a javascript menu in a custom block.

I'm looking forward to learning the answer.

I have the code above working on my test page http://www.gdl-web.com/xoops2/

It works in the right column, but doesn't in the center, hmmm.

Lance_,

It works fine in Firefox, just not IE. Try changing the height value from a % to a set value, like 500px (or whatever is appropriate).

Hope this helps.

I think this is part of another problem. I reported a bug in XOOPS 2.2:

in this thread.
