Couple of general questions.

Firstly, XOOPS rocks. This is my third project using it as a main system and I love it!!

Is there a way of preventing administrators from demoting anyone? I.e. preventing Admin1 from Demoting Admin2, but MainAdmin is the only person who can?

Also, I've read up on integrating forums into XOOPS - the IPB module looks promising. But do I have to pay? Is there a more advanced forum than newBB that will work with the XOOPS system?

Hi jamessh1,

How about putting admin1 and admin2 etc. into a seperate group (ie not webmasters group) and removing the "system admin rights" on "groups" ?

Now they cant change each others status. However they also cant promote anyone.

Not sure about the question regarding forums but there is CBB which is newer than newBB, but I dont know if it has extra features..(but I expect so though)

I'll sort groups out ASAP.

I'll have a look around for forums - is it correct that we have to pay for the IPB module?

Nope, IPB is free - XOOPS version anyway. The new IPB from invision isn't, but that's not the verion that's been xooped.
