this is a great module and i installed it with no problems!... well that being said after almost 2 months of it perfectly working i have run into a problem.

it seems that my counter is stuck at "7216" and no longer will count hits. i have tried purging the referers list and the ip list but it still doesnt move!

any ideas on how to fix this problem?

-thanks

1. What version of XOOPS and Xoop-Stats are you running?
2. Have you added/removed any modules in the last couple months?

oh yeah, sorry forgot the important info.

-xoops 2.2.3
-xoops-stats 0.45

actually now that you mention it, the only think i can think of that has changed was the XOOPS upgrade from version 2.2.2 to version 2.2.3

the last recorded hit was on the nov 5th which is right around the time i think another admin upgrade the site.
now that i am looking at the modules menu i notice that all of the modules say last updated 11/05/2005.

coincidence? hmmm...

Perhaps not. I had to remove that module from my 2.2.3 site because of incompatabilities. I don't remember the exact details at the moment, but I believe it had to do with templates.

Sounds like the reason your counter stopped working is that the code needed to track visitors hasn't been added to the needed files. I "think" it was header.php, but I don't remeber for sure.

include_once XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/modules/statistics/include/hitcounter.php';
needs to be added to header.php every time you upgrade XOOPS. I've forgotten it myself several times. As I recall, there's a new version of this module out too, and it works fine for me with XOOPS 2.2.3.
