Hi Jan304,

I tried to install this module, even did as per what doc said.. but due to some unkown reason i am not able toget the block for flashshout. I installed it enabled it from blocks gave a right top position. copied the files from doc/for_root to the base directory so that it comes on to page. But as of now i dont even see the block for flashshout on the main page (top page).

I am using XOOPS 2.0.6 with default tempalte set. Could you give some hints why the block is missing out ???

Mm, why did nobody told me that the block didn't work?

Rename:
blocks/shoutbox_block.php
to:
blocks/flashshout_block.php

And in xoops_version.php:
$modversion['blocks'][1]['template'] = 'shoutbox_block.html';
to:
$modversion['blocks'][1]['template'] = 'flashshout_block.html';


If that is too difficult (doubt it), redownload package

Ok, package is updated. If you get a fatal error while updating the package (as I did, after fixing the problem), just deactivate - deinstall and then install again.

If you got any problem, just post here. Sorry for this one, made small mistake while renaming module.

Jan304,

Ok i installed the new one, the block is comming perfectly on the top page. Now the problem is that when i click on shout, nothing is added into db nor the texts are shown back in the flash shout? ... What could be the problem?? I copied docs/for_root/* to the home direcory.


Any success in regard to fla ?? do update me when ever you are through with it :)

Hey Vinit,

1. Does the shout at the module itself work? I'm unable to test at this moment, since I just reinstalled my pc, and haven't yet got the change to reinstall apache.

2. Np, the creator hasn't yet responded to my mail regarding a request for a modified flash file... Too bad.

hey jan304,

Didnt got you "shout at the module" ?

See what happens is the module comes up perfectly on the top pages and it shows also the 2 msgs that are stored in the db. Bue when i do a shout flash shows that its doing something but final result is that there is nothing new added into db and thus nothing comes back on the flash.

I hope your apache comes up soon. It took me just 5 mins to get apache up

hoping that creator will help out soon.
