Yeh, the image files were corrupt on the ftp upload, now using a differnet ftp program, because I was using Firefox it doesn't show up images that it can't load fully right, whereas with IE it shows a cross and a square where the image is supposed to be, anyway I uploaded the image files manually and it all works fine now.
