Does this hack work with the newest XOOPS installation 2.2.2?

It should... but I think I'd better update it as some of the files updated in 2.2.2 are also in this hack.

Gimme a couple of days.

Hallo Jan!

I hav'nt had the time to install two sub-domains for testing and create a seperate account as I had very important meeting and presentation until last night.

I should be able to make it today and send you the login details by PM.

When you are planning to bring out an update anyway, it would be better to have a look to my installation to see where things are happening wrong.

By this some changes could be made in your new future version of this lovely multi website module.

Jan, that hack doesn't work for different HOST.

For instance: to use same BD for several HOST, or for several bills in the same HOST.

I believe that it is because of MySQL, but MySQL 5.0 seems that will put an end to that limitation.

Do you know on that?

Using 2.2.1 and can upgrade to 2.2.2. Shall I?

I tried with the following:

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://'.$HTTP_HOST);

and also

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://'.$_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"]);

This may be necessary as I am using subdomains?

Both did not work. Also the standard solution in your module did not work.

Shall I invest more time on it, or is there something new coming up and I better wait...?

I want to see the release of the multisite in the version 2.4 that Mithrandir and Herko promised. We will wait: -)

I would not mind waiting but there are confusions.

Would the existing database and other implementations remain?

Then it should not be a problem to use it now, if it works, and then later upgrade.

Is there any time schedule for 2.4!

For me I waited for the new version for 2.10 and then waited for version 2.2.x and nothing ever worked on my server and therefore I am speechless.

Jan,

any chance to update your 2.2 hack for the 2.2.3 Final?

I looked at the files, but since there are major differences between the non-hacked 2.2 and 2.2.3 files, it would be hard to figure out how to hack the 2.2.3 files without your inside know-how.
