Brilliant! The update went smooth now and I got my users back!
Thanx a lot for taking care of this so quickly. All that's left to do is see how to get the three colums back to normal and get my theme looking as it was again. But that's nothing to do with the update I guess.Just a few modules to update and all is to 2.2.

BTW, maybe it's another issue: is there a list of module version numbers in 2.2.3? Some of mine is 2.13, some is 1.1, some is 1 and some is 0.1, a little bit confusing.

I'll try and download the updates you are posting. But for your information my hosting company is using the following:

PHP version 4.3.11
MySQL version 4.0.25-standard-log

The patch seemed to work. When I used xoopsupdater.php at first I still got errors, but when I ran the update from the system module everything seemed to work and my users are all back.

I had a similar error, but am running the upgrade script that I just downloaded today, so I assume that its the one that's already been fixed - so not sure why I'm having the problem.

I'm test-running the upgrade on a back-up machine with an identical directory structure, loaded in my existing site's web and MySQL data.

So I run the install script:

I thought Maybe its because the tables exist already, so proceed to the next step:

- Please choose your site admin's name and password.
When I hit the Next button at this point my browser tries endlessly to load the page. This may be because of something leftover from a previous attempt, but I hit the same issue at another point last time - the browser just endlessly trying to load. (I assume it will time out eventually...)

Any ideas?
