I have a site that receives tons of threaded comments. As a result the page size of the articles that have hundreds of comments has grown to sometimes well over 1 mb in size which scrolls on forever and can take a long time to load.

For the time being we have modified the code to show only the most recent 10 main comments and their threads. But we really want to show all the comments.

Is anyone aware of a method or a mod to split up the comments into multiple pages like the forum does?

I would be willing to pay someone to write/modify the code to create this feature.

I would start PMing people in high up places - moderators etc.
Mention money, and people will suddenly become more enthusiastic.

Why don't you start a topic with 'Earn Money' in the title!

While i am unable to code this for you (paid or not) i think this request is very reasonable.

Hence i have added it to the requesttracker on sf.net. I Hope it wont take too long until it gets picked up by someone since there are still a lot of smallband users out there.
