I'm in the process of installing a new site based upon Xoops. The language used on this site is Swedish.

I have sucessfully installed Xoops, including the modules I want. However I have not been able to install the Swedish language pack. My problem is that I don't know how to do it!
I have not been able to find an instruction for this!
It must have been answered several times in this forum, but at lease I can't find it.

So, please, if someone can explain it to me, I'd be very happy!

I have tried to copy the unzipped language directory to the /language catalog, is that all? or do I need to copy some of the sub-folders in the language pack to other places within XOOPS on my server?

Hi ProUser...

The most language packs are in a zip package with the following folders:

1. Install
2. Language
3. Modules

You just need to copy these folders into your XOOPS root...

Try looking into the XOOPS folders on your own..and you'll see the folders for languages in there.....

Thanks for your answer.

A follow-up question;
Do this mean that I have to copy the content of each directory from the unzipped language pack into corresponding subdirectory in the /language folder?

Hi ProUser

Take a look at this :

Resized Image

As you can see from the picture...i have added the folder danish into the folders, in your case it would be swedish folders.

Ex.

Copy your swedish system language folder into the /modules/system/language/ folder .... When you have done that there is two folders in the system language folder ...English and Swedish.......And so forth...........
